The Arbitrum Foundation plans to set aside approximately $400 million over two years to promote gaming projects through its new "Gaming Catalyst Program". The project, which is awaiting approval from the Arbitrum DAO, will primarily use the funds to encourage builders and publishers to create video games using its blockchain. The foundation believes this strategy will attract quality game creators and retain new users within Arbitrum.
Friday, March 15, 2024Aavegotchi is set to launch Gotchichain, a Layer 3 rollup chain for blockchain gaming, in 2024. The new gaming console will run on top of Base, an EVM-compatible L2 developed by Coinbase. Besides offering lower transaction fees, Gotchichain aims to provide a dedicated block space for application-specific facilities in a bid to maximize scalability.
